30/10/2007 WAKEHURST DRAW AT QUEENS
Wakehurst threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 at Newforge against a Queens side they expected to beat. An excellent free kick by Paul McWilliams in the first half and a close range Roy Colville effort saw Hurst cruise into two goal lead. An awful night for Wakehurst in the opening league fixture away to Glebe Rangers. Two nil down in the first half with a Bellingham header for good measure in the second. Wakehurst did create some chances with Drummond having most of them but it wasn't to be their night. Few players can take any credit for their performance except perhaps Ryan Lyness and Richard Mellon, as usual. Yet another dissapointing night under the lights at Riada.
