Wakehurst players wore black armbands and observed a minute's silence in memory of their former President, Mr Bobby Cooper who died during the week.  All associated with the club extend their sympathy to Bobby's wife, Betty, daughter Linda and son Rodney and wider family circle at this sad time.

Wakehurst were narrowly beaten 2-0 by Dundela in the Irish Cup on Saturday at Wilgar Park in Belfast.  First chance of the half fell to Dundela but Upton's shot was high and wide.

On 13 minutes, Wakehurst got their first opportunity when a great ball out of defence by Mark Crawford found Jordan Kenny on the right and he crossed to Lee McCaughern but his shot was just off the mark.

On 15 minutes, Gavin Mark made a good save from Irwin's long range effort for Dundela.  Jason Paul came close on 20 minutes when his pace beat the defender but unfortunately his shot just shaved the post.  On 29 minutes, it was Jason Paul again with Jordan Kenny doing provider but the Duns keeper made a good save.

Wakehurst finished the half strongly with Lemon going close in the closing minutes after good work by Ryan Gregg.

First corner of the second half went to Dundela on 50 minutes but Gavin Mark cleared the danger.  On 57 minutes a Lee McCaughern corner for Wakehurst found the head of Roy Colville but he headed wide.  On 60 minutes, a good opportunity went begging for Wakehurst when a  free kick 20 yards out taken by McIlroy again went wide.  On 70 minutes, Wright had a half chance for Dundela but his shot went over.

When it looked like extra time was in the offing, Wright got the breakthrough for Dundela on 75 minutes when he headed home a good cross fired in by Hunter.

On 80 minutes Wakehurst almost got the equaliser when a flick on from Mark Crawford found Jordan Kenny but the Dundela defence managed to scramble the ball to safety.

On 85 minutes, Dundela sealed the victory when Wright got his second of the day with a free header at the back post.
