Wakehurst continued their impressive winning run with an emphatic 3-0 win on Saturday against Annagh United at Mill Meadow.

First corner of the game fell to Wakehurst on 7 minutes with Stephen Mellon's cross testing the Annagh defence early on.  Annagh's first attack resulted in a corner for them on 11 minutes but Murphy's header went well wide from Camlin's corner.  A free kick to Annagh on 13 minutes give Marc Maybin his first challenge of the day but he held well. It was Wakehurst on 15 minutes with a free kick but Mellon's free was well cleared by the Annagh defence.

Wakehurst were on top in the latter part of the first half and on 42 minutes got the breakthrough when Jason Paul headed home from close range after good work by Roy Colville and Douglas Stevenson giving Wakehurst the edge at half time.

Wakehurst continued in the same vein in the second half and on 55 minutes Conor Gregg made it two for Wakehurst when he rounded the keeper and coolly slotted the ball into the bottom corner leaving Annagh with it all to do.

It was all Wakehurst with Annagh struggling to make any impact and on 78 minutes their fate was sealed when Conor Gregg got his second and Wakehurst's third when he finished off a Stephen Mellon free kick to make it 3-0.

Gregg should have had his hat trick on 80 minutes but amazingly the Annagh keeper managed to clear.  Annagh's best chance of the half came on 82 minutes but Marc Maybin made a great finger tip save to deny them a consolation goal.  On 86 minutes Gregg put Jason Paul in with a great pass and he was unlucky to see his effort just go inches wide.
